Nevin serves as a healthcare consultant and advisor in the areas of strategic planning and execution, developing marketing strategies to assist organizations to be more competitive and provide healthcare executive coaching and mentoring. He has extensive experience in healthcare legislative and policy formulation. While with the Department of VA, he was responsible for 8 VA Medical Centers in the Florida and Puerto Rico and over 50 clinics in Florida and the Caribbean including a $4.6 Billion budget, 23,000 employees and 1.5 million veterans.
Prior to this, he worked with the Under Secretary for Health in human resources issues affecting the national workforce of more than 200,000 and was one of the architects of several pieces of successful legislation focusing on healthcare personnel. He also served as the Chief of Staff for the Under Secretary for Health (USH) where he provided guidance and direction for new initiatives including telehealth and community clinics. Nevin and his wife, Marjorie, live in the Tampa Bay area.
